Last weekend we are driving our bikes to Thol Lake, one of the famous place in GandhiNagar. GandhiNagar is the capital of Gujarat and has fantastic roads. The most impressive thing that i find in Gandhinagar is Roads. Clean and all in good condition! And the second thing is that the cops are so good that they never disturb us unless they found any reason!:p
During our Drive, I saw a car having something different look then the cars i used to see. I was a bit confused which car is this?!! As it come so near to me i saw back and i was shacked when i see the name! it was Skoda Octavia!! I had never seen such a car before! Even not in Surat, my mother town. When i searched on net i found that its a Skoda Octavia Combi!! But it was bit confusing with RS version.
I dont know whether the person imported it in Gujarat or he got it locally. But it was looking so great...!! I wish to own one in future!! :-)

Ahh... Skoda is my favorite Car Brand for India. Skoda has given a great range of its cars which include Skoda Fabia, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb!!
As a small car, Skoda Fabia is much more popular, while Skoda Superb has also get popularity. Laura is the later version of Skoda Octavia. As the Octavia is so much popular, they had decided continue the older version and the new version is given a name as Laura.
Now Skoda is planning to launch the RS (rally sport) as on demand. It should be noted that Skoda has recently launched the refurbished facelifted version (refurbished means a major maintenance and repair of car or any item) of Laura with "10 on 10" tag line. (New Skoda Laura)
Skoda Laura Rally Sport Version will come with 200bhp, 2.0-litre TSI engine and 170bhp 2.0-litre TDI engine.
Ultra Motor, UK based electric bikes manufacturing company tied up for the launch of 3 electric vehicles in India in few years. They want to cover up the electric bike market India. Though the electric bikes in India are not much popular and they have small market for it! Hike in petrol price may increase the sale of such electric vehicles.
Maruti Chairman Bhargava said that MAruti A-Start doing very well in Indian Car market and has achieved 1 lakh of production figure. He added that company is planning to export 75,000 units of A-Star. The demand for Cars is increasing day by day. And Maruti-Suzuki thinking to extend the capacity of manufacturing Cars in its plants. Currently Plants have capacity of 9 lakhs cars per year.
A-Star seems quit popular in small car market and Company paying more attention to creat good market for the same. Due to the more fuel efficiency and other compatibility, small cars like maruti Alto are being sold on broader way.
Toyota Kirloskar is thinking up to introduce a diesel version of its small car. The compact car will have a localization of 65 per cent initially and would be scaled up further to 90 per cent by 2011. The company is looking at expanding dealer network from the current 82 to 150 by 2010-end. The company may also build a powertrain facility that would be dedicated to producing engines and gearboxes for the compact car. Toyota Kirloskar’s unchristened small car would be a super-hatch and would be priced in the range of Rs. 5-7 lakh with a 1.2-litre as well as 1.3-litre engine both petrol and diesel from Toyota's new plant at Bidadi. It will compete with existing small cars in India Car market like Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i10, i20 and many others.
