Cars become costlier :: Price hike






Following to Maruti Suzuki India, other players like Hyundai Motors India, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata motors and GM India as also hiked prices of their models. Hyundai will hike price 1 to 1.5 percent. Hike will be effective from next month. GM will hike price by 2 to 3 percent. Tata also increasing prices by 5 to 8k. Mahindra and mahindra hiked price of Scorpio, Xylo and Bolero by upto Rs. 9300, Rs. 4600, Rs. 4800 respectively.

This hike is because of the high input cost, steel is one of them.

Cars are becoming costlier as a result of price hikes of input materials. But this will not hamper the growth of the Indian automobile industry.
