Following to Maruti Suzuki India, other players like Hyundai Motors India, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata motors and GM India as also hiked prices of their models. Hyundai will hike price 1 to 1.5 percent.

Maruti has hiked the prices of its cars. All the existing models' prices are hiked auto 1.9 percent, up to 10,000 rupees. This is due to cover up the input and row material cost. This do not include recently launched model Maruti Suzuki Eeco and other recently launched model.
Skoda India is planning to launch a small car to be positioned below of its much popular superhatch car, Skoda Fabia. It would be priced around 4-5 lakh. The launch may take 3-4 years.
