@ pankaj...
i think u r right... rear tire is too thin in yzf r15. they should change it with wide tire!!

yamaha r15 is a great bike and it has got a liquid cooled engine... so that it would withstand any considerable long travel... there are no complaints regarding the design, still yamaha might have thought about launching a twin cylindered bike with a cubic capacity of around 250 or 500cc pricing around 2-2.5lacs. when the brake horse power is high, bigger tyres could be used for better road grip and stability... i am hoping to buy r15 by 20th of this month and i need suggestion regarding bigger tyres for r15. i would like to replace the front tyre 80/90 with 100/90 and the rear tyre 100/80 with 120/80 or 130/80 without changing the original rim... is it possible? any suggestions?

i bought a R15 2 MONTHS BACK AND I REALLY LEARNT A LOT ABOUT IT. AS U MUST BE KNOWING THE INTIAL PICK - UP FROM 0 - 60 IS NOT SO GREAT.IF U WANT T0 RACE AGAINST KARIZMA AND 220 YOU CAN BEAT THEM AT HIGHER SPEEDS BUT NOT AT INTIAL SPEEDS .WELL I GOT AN EXPERT ADVISE ON THIS.(BUT U HAVE TO BE IN MOVING POSITIONS)BEING AN HIGHER REVVING ENGINE THE BIKE TAKES OF IN HIGHER RPMS.SO WHEN U R RACING BRING THE RPM OF THE BIKE STEADILY TOWARDS 7000 - 7500 RPM TELL YOUR COUNTERPARTS THAT U R READY NOW.START THE RACE BY PULLING THE WHOLE THROTTLE TILL 10500RPM AND THEN SHIFT GEARS(N0TE: DON’T CHANGE THE GEARS TILL U REACH 10200-10500 RPM) THEN U SEE EVEN KARIZMA AND 220 WONT EVEN COME CLOSE.( TRIED AND TESTED )

look is stunning... After seeing that I decided to take a test drive here in India and it is perfect machine. Only thing is that the tires are too small

yamaha R15 bike has been designed keeping in mind the Indian riding conditions also, as it offers a better riding position to offer ease of handling and riding comfort. This hot looking and top-class performance entrant called Yamaha YZF R15 has been launched in two sizzling colors : Yamaha Blue and Graphite. Yamaha R15 bike would cost to your pocket of Rs. 100000
