TVS to launch an Unisex scooter








TVS will launch a new unisex scooter in India in the next financial year. Christened Streak, it will sport a 90cc engine but will be lighter, thanks to the new LiTec engine. It is also expected to have wider anti skid tyres and a more stable design. The boot is increased to 14 liters compared to the Pep+. It will retain the same 4.7 liter fuel tank.

Sania Mirza will be the brand ambassador of the sporty Streak. In general a unisex scooter will have a more stable design and can even be used in highways. TVS targets the commencement of the academic year. This is the 4th lineup in the scooter segment after the electric scooter launched last year.

TVS has seen an increased growth in its sales since September. It sells nearly 1 lakh two wheelers per month of which 25% constitutes scooterettes. It has a market share of 60% in this segment in Tamilnadu alone.
