Hyundai mini-car by 2011






Hyundai said that it plans to  lanch low-cost car by 2011, which will have price tag below its existing santro model. The fuel-efficient low cost car is estimated to be priced at around US$ 3,500. This mini car will be pricier than Tata Motors' Nano, Bajaj's ULC and GM's upcoming mini-car. The Indian engineers in the company's R&D centre at Hyderabad are working closely with their Korean counterparts to develop a mini-car. The car would be rolled out from its new unit at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, and would be catering to both the domestic as well as the overseas markets.
