TVS Motor Co has seen its June sales of two-wheelers increasing six percent over that registered in the corresponding month last year, the company said Wednesday.
In a statement, TVS said last month's two-wheeler sales totalled 115,448 units as against 109,082 units sold in June 2008.
However, this was lower than its May sales, when it sold 118,574 units.
During the period under review, domestic sales totalled 105,361 units showing a 12 percent increase over sales logged in June 2008.
Last month the company sold 25,945 scooters and 46,048 motorcycles when compared to 21,466 scooters and 51,409 motorrcycles sold respectively in June 2008. It did not release sales figures of mopeds.
Exports continued to be affected with sales of 10,087 units of two-wheelers as against 15,010 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
