Opel Exchange Programme By GM

General Motors India has announced a limited period Opel Exchange Programme for existing Astra and Corsa. The existing opel customer can trade in their Astra or Corsa for a new Chevrolet Models.

As part of its customer loyalty initiative, General Motors India today announced a limited period Opel Exchange programme for existing Astra and Corsa customers. Under the buy back scheme, all the existing Opel owners can trade in their Astra or Corsa for a new Chevrolet model.

Following an inspection of their car by GM-certified engineers at any of the GM dealerships across the country, customers will be offered a market price based on the physical condition and model year of their car. In addition, customers will also be offered free accessories worth Rs 10,000 by the dealer under the Opel Exchange Programme.

Commenting on the exchange programme, Mr. P. Balendran, Vice President, General Motors India, said “With the buy back scheme, we are giving an opportunity to our loyal customers to enjoy the Chevrolet experience. Our goal is to continue to reach out to our customers both new and old and provide them the best and the latest cars. Astra and Corsa were sold for ten and seven years, respectively, before introducing Chevrolet brand to India.

As part of the loyalty programme, GM India dealers have also entered into a financing arrangement with some of the public and private sectors banks to offer low EMI schemes. Under the special financing options, the banks will be offering convenient financing packages including attractive pay out schemes.

General Motors India is in the process of appointing more dealers and authorized service outlets in urban and semi-urban cities to widen its network and reach out to its valued customers across the nation. GM India’s rapidly growing network of

Chevrolet dealerships and service centres includes 195 authorized sales points and 198 service outlets. More are in the pipeline to support the increasing demand for GM products.

General Motors India has two car manufacturing facilities at Halol in Gujarat and Talegaon in Maharashtra. It produces the Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Optra, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, Chevrolet SRV, Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Captiva for the Indian market. GM India also operates engineering, R&D and Design Centres in Bangalore.

Bajaj Auto has launched 100cc Discover DTS-Si bike with 2.0 DTS-Si engine engine series. The Bajaj Discover DTS-Si with electric start has ex-showroom price of Rs. 40,000 at ex-showroom Delhi.

The main attraction about this new bike is its mileage. It is using a new innovative technology engine, which gives quite more mileage compare to other 100cc bikes in Indian bike market. The claimed mileage is 80 kmpl. which is good for a 100cc bike. It comes with older features of Discover plus some new features like, electric start, nitrox suspension, long wheelbase, full DC electrical system, 5-speed gear box, exhausTEC, battery with charge indicator and auto chok.


CNG Kit for Maruti Alto Launched

Maruti Suzuki has launched CNG kit for its small car Alto. The Maruti-authorised CNG kit comes with 12 kg tank which accommodate 7 kg of copressed Natural Gas. It is priced at Rs 43,545 and will be available across variants of brand new Maruti Suzuki Alto at dealerships in only Delhi and NCR from June 17 onwards.

By launching CNG kit for Alto, Maruti try to attract more customers to choose Alto as their Car.


Chevrolet Aveo special edition Launched

GM India has launched special edition of its sedan Chevrolet Aveo. General Motors India Vice President P Balendran said that this is to refresh the interest for Aveo and for maximize customer satisfaction. The price will be same as the existing version atill new special edition comes with some additional features like illuminated key cylinder, chrome door handles, rear arm-rest with cup holders and height adjustable driver's seat.


Volkswagen opens its first Group Logistics Service Facility in India

With a view to expand its commitment to the Indian market Volkswagen Group today has launched its first Logistics Service Facility which is provided by SkodaAuto India Private Limited at its Aurangabad plant. On the basis of a facility for Skoda spare parts the expansion to a Volkswagen Group facility for the brands Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen has been conceptualized and set up in a record period of 4 months. The total investment of this expansion is of over Rs. 13.6 Crores (2 Million Euros).
