Audi India’s first showroom in Kochi






Audi already has nine dealerships in India, with three additions at Ludhiana, Chennai and Delhi by this year end. From the Kerala market, which is growing as a potential luxury car market, Audi projects selling 80 cars till December; with 25 already been sold.

Terming the Kochi showroom as the flagship showroom of Audi in India, Tiers said that the showroom epitomizes Audi's most recent and exclusive 'terminal architecture.' The showroom is the country's first Audi terminal style showroom. Currently such terminals are located at Tokyo, Geneva, Munich, and Sydney. They expect 350 terminals by 2012.

Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director of Audi India, said, "Audi Kochi epitomizes the new terminal concept that offers a unique Audi experience to our customers around the globe. Audi's brand philosophy "Vorsprung durch Technik" stands for progressiveness, sophistication and exclusivity and 'Audi Kochi' embodies the same. This dealership offers a world class service standard that is a norm for Audi. It will strengthen Audi's foothold in the South Indian market and reinforce our commitment to reach out to customers."

In spite of the recession, Audi had delivered more than one million cars worldwide. On the occasion of the inauguration of Audi's first showroom in India - in Kochi - Benoit Tiers, the Audi India Managing Director, said that the German luxury car manufacturer was looking at a 55 percent growth this fiscal from the Indian market, and is expecting a sale of 1,500 cars.
