Yamaha enters into racing kits busyness

Yamaha announced that it will its foray into racing kits business. Yamaha has tied-up with racing equipment maker Daytona for import and sale of the merchandise. racing kits include high-lift cams, full exhaust system, adjustable back steps and braking parts like big diameter petal disc brakes, master cylinder and stainless steel hose. The racing kits would be used exclusively for Yamaha's YZF-R15 and FZ series bikes. By this Yamaha encourage safe racing culture and company's brand image.

Tata Motors Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR)

Tata Motors will launch the Jaguar and Land Rover showroom in India on June 28. The brand will sell a range of vehicles in the country, including Jaguar's XF and XKR, and Land Rover's Discovery and Range Rover. JLR is likely to begin selling its range of premium performance saloon cars and sports utility vehicles in the Indian market later this year.

Hyundai Santa Fe Upcoming Launch in India

Hyundai will soon launch its much awaited Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), 'Santa Fe' in India.. It has very stylish and sporty look. It is expected to be launched by the end of 2009. The price of the car will be somewhere between 18-22 lakhs in the India. Hyundai Santa Fe will be equipped with a 2188cc, 2.2L, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, CRTD, SOHC engine with 5 speed manual gear box that will produce 154bhp power at 4000rpm and 343Nm torque at 1800-2500rpm. It achieves 100 kmph in just 11.6 secs. and top speed is 178 kmph.

TVS Motor Company today announced the availability of its 2009 Flame model in the market under the brand TVS Flame SR 125. The new commuter motorcycle is loaded with a host of exciting features that has been further enhanced to delight its customers.

“The TVS Flame SR125 comes with significantly enhanced low and mid range power delivery and better noise, vibration and handling (NVH) characteristics. The revolutionary Controlled Combustion Variable Timing Intelligent (CC-VTi) technology provides an advantageous combination of power and mileage backed by stunning looks.”

TVS Flame SR 125’s well proven engine is propelled by a three valve, CC-VTi technology which ensures better pickup with optimum mileage and power. Developed with AVL Austria, this 125 cc, three valve engine is tuned to the ideal tumble-swirl port combination such that city riding on this machine is really smooth and comfortable. The engine’s hi-tumble reduces the need for constant gear shifting while the swirl port returns optimum mileage. The TVS Flame SR 125 is equipped with an electric start, weighs about 123 kgs and fires a single spark plug. The bike has a top speed at 95 kmph and churns out 10.5 bhp @ 7500 rpm.

TVS FLAME SR 125 boasts of several style statements including stylish headlamps with two position lamps and embedded turn signal lamps which give the bike a sporty finish. The 240 mm front disc brakes are complemented with a chic triangular exhaust that is not only unique but also enhances performance and delivers the smoothest of sounds and low emissions. The bike flaunts an elegant backlit digital console that prominently displays the first of its kind intelligent mileage indicator (IMI), low fuel warning and service indicator. The rear end of the bike sports a dual lens tail lamp that is first in its class. TVS Flame SR 125 is the only Indian motorcycle to be equipped with a gadget boot which provides the facility of on-tank storage.

Tata Nano Allotment List: One Lakh Owners Selected

Tata Motors has announced the selection of the first 100,000 owners of Nano. 2,06,703 applicants booked the car. Selection was done through a computerized random selection process. The company will individually inform all applicants about whether he is an allottee, retainee or an unsuccessful applicant. The details can be found on www.tatanano.com The booking process had also given the option to applicants to indicate whether they In booking process have option that the applicant can retain their booking amounts with the company, even if they do not get selected among the first 100,000 allottees, and await delivery of their cars after them. 137,867 applicants had chosen this option, from which a further 55,021 retainees have been made allotments. The booking amounts of the unsuccessful applicants, who had not exercised this option, will be returned.

Deliveries will begin from July 2009 and are expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2010..!!
